Title: Art is Alive Medium: Photoshop Date: February 2009
How do you know when a piece is done? I'd like to add dirty footsteps on right side, slowly fading downward to emphasize that art is in all of us. Footsteps.. leaving your mark on the world. Instead, I decided to leave the white space, afraid the footsteps would clutter the entire piece.
Title: Sweet Melody Medium: Photoshop January 2009 (After the last photo collage, I decided to make one more dedicated to my other friend, who loves music)
Title: Butterfly Medium: Photoshop January 2009 (I made this photo collage for my friend. The pictures in the center are Audrey Kawasaki's - her favorite artist)
went to an art gallery in L.A. with a friend and saw alot of inspiring pieces by Audre Kawasaki. So i guess, for my next project, im gonna try some traditional media on wood. my theme for the pieces is centered around fairy-tales and mystical creatures. this is my first piece. as you can see, it is still a work in progress. i'm hoping my second, third, and fourth piece will be much better. and hopefully be able to open my own art gallery in the next year.
i guess i was working a little 'backwards' last week and wasnt really going anywhere. here are the two tonals for the two backgrounds i've been working on. thanks everyone, you're comments were very helpful. ^_^
still a work in progress... it's supposed to be a nice blue-sky day. the foreground elements will definitely be more defined and textured. still need to work on the sky. eh. i think im just having a really bad week. should finish by next week.
well, lets start the first post with an image... this was an illustration done for a class assignment in special studies for cliff cramp. ehh.. it still needs work, but i really liked it from sketch to finish.
